Mankato Police Kept Busy With Car Crashes



MANKATO – Mankato police were kept busy Tuesday with three injury crashes in a span of less than two hours.
 
An intersection crash injured five people, sending two people to the hospital. Police say 68-year-old Tena Stuber of Stewart was turning onto Bassett Drive and was “T-boned” by a car driven by 24-year-old Katie Roberts of Mankato. Both drivers and three juvenile passengers in the Roberts car were injured. Police reports didn’t specify who was taken to the hospital.
 
78-year-old Theodore Klein of Good Thunder was taken to ISJ Hospital after he tried cross North Victory Drive from the Belle Mar Mall and his vehicle was struck by a car driven-by 18-year-old Cody Loebner of Mankato.
 
87-year-old Milo Frederick of St. Peter was given a ticket for running a red light when his van collided with another van waiting to make a left turn from Raintree Road to Madison Avenue. 35-year-old Melissa Reichel’s injuries were described by police as “minor.”
