MANKATO – Several “items of interest” were found Friday in the search for the source of a human bone found last December south of Mankato. Blue Earth County Sheriff Capt. Rich Murry says the items found “appear to be possibly related to the original bone recovered.
The Minnesota BCA processed the scene and items recovered have been taken to the crime lab in St. Paul for further testing.
Law enforcement are still awaiting DNA test results from the original bone.
