K-9 Tracks Down Teens Accused Of Breaking Into North Mankato Vehicles



NORTH MANKATO – Two teenage boys have been arrested after a North Mankato police officer on patrol found them allegedly breaking into a vehicle just blocks from the police station.

The teens fled on foot and were tracked by a Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit on the Minnesota River side of the floodwall near the Veterans Bridge.

The 16-year-old from Mankato and 17-year-old from Elysian have been connected to at least six other break-ins.

Charges are pending and the case remains under investigation.
