Pilot Error To Blame For 2008 Owatonna Plane Crash

WASHINGTON  – The NTSB says pilot error was largely to blame for the 2008 crash of a jet that killed eight people at the Owatonna airport.

The jet crashed while attempting a go-around after touching down. Investigators say a wet runway, 8-knot tailwind and a seven-second delay in braking kept the aircraft from stopping before the end of the runway.

Two pilots from Pensylvania and six casino and construction executive from New Jersey died in the crash.
