MANKATO – Monday’s National Championship college football game led to a dorm-room fight between roomies at Minnesota State University-Mankato.
Mankato police say the 21 and 23-year-old students declined to press charges in the altercation.
According to police the fight started because the men, apparently one a big Oregon fan, got into a disagreement over questionable calls while watching the game on TV.
Mankato police say it was loud enough to catch the attention of the residence hall staff. Alcohol was confiscated because MSU is a dry campus.
Authorities say neither men will face any charges, but could face university sanctions for having the booze in their dorm room.
