Children Who Get Flu Shot at Lower Risk of Being Hospitalized

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (TEC News), March 27 – The CDC released data recently that shows reduction in flu-related intensive care hospitalization for children. About 74 percent of kids who were vaccinated did not have to be hospitalized. Dr. Alicia Fry, a medical officer with the CDC stressed the importance of a flu vaccination saying the studies clearly show it’s good to get one. Children will be “protected from what can be a life-threatening illness.”
