MN House Updates with Clark Johnson
ST. PETER (TEC News), March 7 – Representative Clark Johnson is hoping for many things to be approved through the bonding bill, but one in particular is rebuilding the Minnesota Security Hospital. “The key thing is safety. That there are a couple of things going on there that make that facility less safe than it absolutely needs to be for both the patients and the employees.” The $56 million dollar proposal will continue to run the facility while making changes, upgrading and modernizing it.
MANKATO (TEC News), March 7 – The House of Representatives passed a bill yesterday will cut taxes for middle class Minnesota families and to repeal business-to-business taxes. Rep. Clark Johnson felt the $514 million tax cut was necessary. “It’s a new day in Minnesota. We’ve made progress. And now we just need to keep moving forward and we took a big step with that with the tax relief bill.” Johnson says congress is moving at a faster rate to get this state what it needs and he’s pleased with outcomes so far.
