MANKATO (TEC News), November 21 – The Community Social Service Projects class at South Central College will be teaming up with Partners for Affordable Housing to raise homelessness awareness throughout the winter months. The group is collecting monetary and everyday living essentials. The monetary donations will be used towards the purchase of a bigger facility. There are currently two shelters in the Mankato area—the Teresa House and the Welcome Inn. These house 11 families for an average of 73 days. Donations can be dropped off at either facility, Partners for Affordable Housing or the SCC Campus.
