DULUTH (TEC News), August 13 – The 2nd annual Food Access Summit will be held in Duluth today and Thursday. The group partnered last year with many organizations to increase access to food for low-income families. Erin Sullivan-Sutton, Asst. Commissioner for Children and Family Services said the whole state is involved and pleased to help:
Erin 8-9 -2: “It’s really a statewide effort and we work together with a number of organizations who also are committed to addressing hunger to make this happen.” :10
This year the summit will help develop leaders; provide food policy tools, training and action-oriented idea; organize and mobilize participants to support local, state and national improvement efforst for low-income individuals and families. For more information, call (651) 431-2911.
