MANKATO (TEC News), August 9 – Recent studies at Minnesota State University, Mankato indicated there will be no immediate plans to move forward with an indoor sports bubble.
Feasibility issues rose to the surface, but College President, Richard Davenport says that the University is still interested and will continue to look over numbers. The report was released to University officials in May and included regional demographic information, cost estimates, siting and building options, user demand and programming assessments. This is available upon request in the MSU athletic department.
Current costs showed that the University would only be able to afford 50 to 60 percent, so they will continue to discuss the plans. For more information about the plan or to see the report, make an appointment with the athletic department by calling 389-6111.
