SOUTHERN MINNESOTA RECOVERY CONNECTION (SMRC) PRESENTS JOHN STORKAMP JULY 29 at 7 pm at SMRC Address
John Storkamp is the multiple winner of the Arrowhead 135 (miles) and was the first to ever finish the race on foot. This year he completed the Iditarod 350 in Alaska, running while pulling a sled for seven days through the Alaskan winter. He has competed in and won many memorable ultramarathons. He is the race director for the Afton Trail Runs, Zumbro Endurance Runs, Superior Spring Races, and the crown jewel of trail running in the midwest, the Superior Fall Races (marathon, 50 mile, 100 mile). He is the founder of Rocksteady Running. He will be speaking about his recovery from drug and alcohol addictions. He just celebrated his 19th year of recovery and will share his experience, strength and hope at SMRC on July 29 at 7 pm.

The core mission of Southern Minnesota Recovery Connection is to mobilize resources within and outside the recovery community to increase long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addictions. The recovery community includes people in recovery, their families and friends, allies and organizations whose members reflect religious, spiritual and secular pathways to recovery. Our goals are to increase the quality and quantity of support for those dealing with addiction and recovery.
