MANKATO (TEC News) - Blue Earth County is alerting the public about properly disposing of hazardous household products. The flood and tornado season draws near and Recycling Coordinator, Jean Lundquist reminds residents that it's crucial to protect the environment and this is a good time to think about it: Lundquist 1 "it properly" :10
Things that may need disposing of properly:
Batteries, solvents, paints, paint thinners, pesticides, household cleaners and other chemicals.
These things can be taken to the Blue Earth County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility located at 651 Summit Drive in Mankato. The facility is open every Tuesday through October from noon to 6 p.m. and the second Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
