MANKATO (TEC News) - The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has identified Thursday's shooting victim as 83-year-year-old Lloyd Tschohl of North Mankato.
 
They say the cause of death was multiple gun shot wounds.
 
Responding to a family request for a welfare check on Wednesday, he refused to talk with police.
 
On Thursday, family contacted police again saying he made “homicidal threats” and had weapons.
 
Tschohl fired upon officers though a door and three officers returned fire.
 
On administrative leave are Mankato Officer Doug Fredrichs, and Jeffrey Knutson along with North Mankato Officer Daniel Forster
 
The Nicollet County Attorney’s Office will review the case
