MANKATO (TEC News) – Xcel Energy’s Wilmarth Generating Station in Mankato, is given credit for burning tons of waste that otherwise would end up in the landfill. The Blue Earth County Board approved a management agreement Tuesday. The county says of 700 tons of trash, 85 percent is turned in fuel.
