A statement was released from Mt. Kato last night! With the recent buy of Afton Alps to Vail Resports, Mt. Kato will NOT be affected by this change. The release is as follows:
Business as Usual at Mt. Kato:
On behalf of the Augustine Family we would like to make clear that Mt. Kato was NOT sold in the recent sale of Afton Alps to Vail Resorts. The Augustine family still owns Mt. Kato and wants to thank all of our employees for their service they have given over many years, and the patronage of loyal customers. We DO NOT expect any disruption to the experience we offer at Mt. kato. Mt. Kato is dedicated to continuing to offer a great skiiing and snowboarding experience in the Mankato comunity and surrounding areas. We hope to see you on the slopes this winter. Thank you!
