MANKATO (KMKO) – While a NYC Officer is being praised after a photo of him buying a homeless man boots went viral, a Mankato police commander says it’s not uncommon for officers to help others.
When asked, Pam Hermanson admitted they don’t look for attention when doing good deeds.
Another example are when officers sometimes dig into their own wallets while taking needy children Christmas shopping.
