MANKATO-November 13, 2012-(KMKO)--The YWCA of Mankato is looking for nominations for the Woman and Young Woman of Distinction awards. The Women and Young Woman of Distinction awards are given to honor women who through their home, outside career and/or volunteer work have made a significant positive impact on our community.  It recognizes leaders who embody the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Over 100 community leaders have been honored since 1973. Nomination applications are available at www.mankatoywca.org or at the YWCA office 500 S. Broad St. Mankato.
