MANKATO-November 8, 2012-(KMKO)-Mankato police are urging motorists to now put together a Winter Safety Kit for your car. Commander Trudy Kunkle says the can be and simple or expansive as you want, with candy, gloves, and a blanket. Officers just spoke to 3rd graders at Monroe Elementary and they got to make their own kit. It’s a cooperative effort with several agencies in both Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties.
