MANKATO-November 7, 2012-(KMKO)-Democrat Tim Walz won re-election in the U.S. House District 1 race, defeating Allen Quist. Blue Earth County Commissioner District 3 race was won by Mark Piepho over Caroline Wood. In Le Sueur County, the winner of the Commissioner District 1 race was David Gliszinski.  John King was elected to serve District 3.  Lance Wetzel was the winner in District 4.  Steve Rohlfing won in District 5. In Nicollet County Marie Dranttel was the winner in the commissioner race for District 1.  In District 2, James Stenson won. Two Mankato City Council incumbents were defeated last night.  Chris Frederick defeated Mike Laven for the At-Large Seat.  In Ward 4 Charlie Hurd was defeated by Jason Mattick. Two members of the North Mankato City Council were elected last night, Billy Steiner and Kim Spears. In the Minnesota Senate, Kathy Sheran was the winner in District 19 and Julie Rosen was elected in District 23. In the Minnesota House, Kathy Brynaert was re-elected in District 19B and Bob Gunther was the winner in District 23A.
