Courtland man awarded



COURTLAND-November 2, 2012-(KMKO)--Seat belt use has climbed 11 percent according to the Toward Zero Death Campaign Survey. Jerome Plagge of Courtland is being honored for wearing his seat belt in a crash that happened back in June. Plagge was driving on Highway 30 near Storden when an oncoming vehicle pulled into his lane. They collided and air bags were deployed but Plagge suffered minor injuries because he was wearing his seat belt. He will be awarded the Saved by the Belt Award from the Minnesota State Patrol today at 10:30 at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center in New Ulm.
