MANKATO-October 3, 2012-(KMKO)-First District congressional candidate Allen Quist is demanding an apology from Congressman Tim Walz. The St. Peter Republican is taking issue with a statement made during their September 27th debate in Byron. Walz said Quist would cut veterans’ benefits, citing a video showing Quist blaming out-of-control government spending for threatening those benefits. The Democrat from Mankato has refused to back down.
