MANKATO-October 3, 2012-(KMKO)--Alcohol compliance checks were done at randomly selected on and off sale liquor businesses in Mankato recently. Employees at Captain Jacks, Happy Dan's, Rush Liquor, MGM and Sam's Club all sold to minors and those employees were arrested. A request has been put in for charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor, a gross misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than one year and a fine up to $3,000. Also, tenants at two homes in Mankato were issued citations for allowing underage drinking. Numerous minors were given citations as well for consumption.
