MANKATO-September 27, 2012-(KMKO)-The city of Mankato will flush water mains beginning this Sunday through Friday, October fifth. To ensure convenience for residents, the flushing will take place from 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 am. Water mains are routinely flushed to clean the distribution system. Officials advise us to avoid or limit water usage during flushing operations, because although the water is safe to drink, it may stain.
