MANKATO-September 17, 2012-(KMKO)-Seasonal leaf pick up service is tentatively scheduled to begin October 15th. The actual date will be determined based on when the majority of the leaves have fallen. The service will last four weeks. Leaves are removed from the street the day after recycling/garbage is picked up. Residents are reminded that it's important that leaves are not placed in the street prior to the leaf pick up start date because they end up in storm drains, which can be costly.
