MANKATO-September 13, 2012-(KMKO)-Minnesota pork production will be on the agenda at the next meeting of the Mankato Lions Club.  Karen Richter of DKR Swine Farms near Montgomery will address the group a week from today at the Midtown Tavern in Mankato.  Richter's presentation, titled “The Pork Industry:  More Than Just the Other White Meat,” will showcase the industry’s rural economic impact plus on-going programs to enhance the nutritional quality of pork, to protect the environment and to treat livestock humanely.  The meeting will begin at 6:15 pm.
