MANKATO September 5, 2012 (KMKO) – A vintage 1929 Ford Tri-Motor airplane will be in Mankato later this week.After a severe thunderstorm broke the plane in three places, the plane was restored again, this time a 12-year process that ended in 1985.
The plane is currently housed at the Pioneer Airport’s Pitccim Hanger in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The plane is currently on tour across the Midwest. Cost for a ride is $80 for adults, $40 for children ages 6 through 17 while children 5 and under are free with a paying guardian.
It will be at the Mankato Regional Airport this Thursday through Sunday.
