MANKATO-September 4, 2012-(KMKO)-Driving with a headlight out proved to be very costly for a Mankato man last week.  29-year-old Michael Dean Bergene was pulled over on Stadium Road Thursday night.  Noticing the strong smell of burning marijuana, the officer asked Bergene to provide him with the pot and the pipe.  He submitted, and a search of the vehicle resulted in another pipe, several empty baggies and rolling papers.  A passenger told police Bergene sold him some marijuana a short time earlier.  Bergene has been charged with one felony count of fifth degree sale of marijuana.
