Madison Avenue Completion

MANKATO-August 30, 2012-(KMKO)-The Madison Avenue project is just about done.  Final paving on Madison Avenue has been completed and intersection signals have been turned on.  Work expected to be complete by the end of the day include main road striping and pedestrian-crossing push buttons.  Once the road is striped, Mankato City Engineer Jeff Johnson tells us a substantial portion of the $5.3 million project will be complete.  The road will be open to the public and no major traffic disruptions are expected. Roving lane closures will be in place while crews complete street light installation, multi-use trail construction and final maintenance.
