MANKATO August 27, 2012 – The city council disbanded the civil service commission by the needed unanimous vote.
 
The Civil Service Commission, according to Public Safety Director Todd Miller is a slow way to hire police officers.


 

 
Mayor Eric Anderson expressed concern that using the new Public Safety Advisory Committee will mean less public involvement to which committee member Matt Little says isn’t true.
