More Work on Highway 109

MANKATO-August 27, 2012-(KMKO)-MnDOT has announced that additional work is necessary on the Highway 109 project from Winnebago to west of Easton.  That will extend the opening to late September. Additional paving at the east end of the project and more work on the tile crossings are adding additional time to the contract to finish Highway 109.  Traffic is detoured to Highway 169, Interstate 90 and Faribault County Road 17.  The $7 million project consists of restoring or reclaiming the old pavement, placing new asphalt and making culvert improvements.  MnDOT plans to restore Highway 109 from Delavan to Wells in 2014.
