MANKATO-August 27th-(KMKO)-The two candidates agree on the major issues confronting the nation, but differ on how to fix the problems. With the election just 71 days away, incumbent Tim Walz of Mankato faces the winner of the Republican primary, Allen Quist of St. Peter. The former Minnesota House member criticizes Walz for not doing enough to deal with the debt crisis, preferring the conservative method of reducing taxes and spending. Walz, who is seeking a fourth term in congress, says he take his responsibility very seriously. Walz and Quist have a debate scheduled for September 27th in Byron.
