MANKATO-August 27, 2012-(KMKO)-Mankato’s Night to Unite is coming up tomorrow.  The annual event is an opportunity for neighbors to get together for a party and talk about ways to make their neighborhoods safer.   Mankato residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and city staff.  We’ll see a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts and police visits.  It’s not too late to put something together.  The best way to make your get-together a success is by going to a rental company to get barricades to block off your street for a party and contacting the city at 387-8795.
