MANKATO-August 24, 2012-(KMKO)-A 25-year-old Mankato man charged with eluding police and domestic assault has asked a judge to lower his bail.  Brenten Ashpole, who's being held on $100,000 bail, made the request yesterday in Blue Earth County Court.  He's also asking for a furlough from jail so he can register for classes and take part in orientation at Minnesota State University, Mankato.  The judge said he would take the matter under advisement.
