MANKATO-August 24, 2012-(KMKO)-The Mankato City Council will consider ordinance changes that will allow them to charge a fee for license revocation hearings.  Under the proposed changes, they will charge $150 to appeal a business license revocation, $300 for a liquor license revocation and $250 to appeal an animal license revocation.  City staff say they have never charged for the hearings before and had a cost of $6,000 in 2009 for rental license appeals and $8,200 in 2007 for liquor license suspensions.  The city council will discuss the proposal at Monday night's meeting.
