Minnesota River Level Update
MANKATO-August 23, 2012-(KMKO)-It's still far from setting records, but the water level on the Minnesota River continues to drop. The level in Mankato is 3.8 feet, not bad when you look at the record low of .3 feet in 1934. There are some concerns, however. Barge traffic is hampered downstream, forcing shippers for use rail or trucks to move goods. Flood stage is 22 feet.
