MANKATO-August 23, 2012-(KMKO)-Medicare is now offering coverage for cardiovascular disease screening.  Mankato area health representatives and the Senior LinkAge Line are encouraging those with this coverage to take advantage of the service that includes a physical exam, annual wellness visits, tests, diabetes screening, obesity screening/therapy and smoking cessation counseling.
Cardiovascular disease (also known as heart disease) is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States.
