Mankato Search and Rescue Training

MANKATO - July 24, 2012 - (KMKO) --Being prepared for emergency situations can aid in better response from officials. Many Mankato Emergency Entities, such as police, fire and medical crews, will be conducting a search and field rescue exercise in Kiwanis Recreation Area off Highway 169 North Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m. This is an annual training for emergency personnel. This provides training in implementing an incident command system, demonstrating effective coordination and communication, assigning search teams, developing an incident action plan and conduction a line search.
