Mankato (KMKO)-The city of Mankato's new bus routes will go into effect August 27th.  The routes were the result of the Greater Mankato Transit Redesign Study, which was managed by representatives of the city, the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Region Nine Development Commission and Minnesota State University, Mankato.  Transit Supervisor Mark Anderson says the system is running the same amount of hours, but they eliminated some transfers between destination points, making things more efficient.  Call 387-8655 if you have any questions about the new bus routes.
