BELLE PLAINE -- Belle Police are warning resident about a possibe scam involoving a report of buglaries and phone calls from an alarm company.

While the police department did issue a recent news release that burglarys are on the rise and they allowing this same company to put yard signs in front of home the install alarm systems,they are not endorsing the company.

The company has been calling residents with an autodialer and promise free alarm systems to those who call back.

The police department is advising residents to ask for a company name or disregard the call.
