Mankato (KMKO)-A landlord faces felony charges after allegedly assaulting a tenant in Mankato because she was behind on her rent.  Police were called to a residence in the 700 block of North Broad Street shortly after 8:30 Tuesday morning.  56-year-old Steven Brugman is accused of throwing a shoe at the woman, leaving a mark.  He then allegedly grabbed her from behind and threatened to kill her as she reached for a cell phone.  Brugman was charged with one felony count of terroristic threats and two misdemeanor counts of fifth degree assault.  He remains in custody.
