Mankato (KMKO)-With the upcoming fireworks season, the Mankato Department of Public Safety is asking for the community to take precautions. Deputy Fire Director Jeff Bengston has these safety tips: use fireworks with adult supervision, use them in a safe place outdoors and away from buildings or combustible material, keep fireworks away from small children and do not use them if you or someone you know is under the influence.
