St. Peter (KMKO)-A free nitrate water-testing clinic is coming up in St. Peter. Homeowners are asked to bring at least one-half cup of water in a plastic baggie or container. Samples should be taken no more than 24 hours before the testing and must be kept refrigerated prior to testing.  Samples will be analyzed on the spot ‑ the process usually takes less than five minutes.  The event will take place at the government center from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  It's sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and Nicollet County.
