St. Peter (KMKO)-The St. Peter Police Department is advising motorists about a speed limit change in the area.  On Highway 169, near the newly constructed entrance to the Saint Peter Regional Treatment Center, there has been a slight change to the speed limit. For traffic going south on 169, the 45 MPH Zone is in effect until you are south of the new entrance to the Treatment Center grounds. The speed limit then increases to 65 MPH. For traffic going north on 169, a new 45 MPH speed zone was created and starts just south of the new entrance to the treatment center grounds. The 45 MPH continues until near the 99W/22S junction with 169, where the speed limit decreases to 35MPH.  St. Peter Police say the speed limit in that area is clearly marked, so please pay attention to your speed.
