Mankato (KMKO)-As expected, the Mankato City Council passed all the resolutions presented at last night's meeting. After a lengthy discussion on the issue, the council approved a resolution to prepare a grant request from the state to fund the Verizon Wireless Center expansion project.
Another resolution approved last night ends the city's tax levy for funding the Blue Earth County library system. The city and Blue Earth County have not been able to reach a joint powers agreement, so the county will now be forced to confront the issue of how to pay for the $516,000 annual library budget. The Blue Earth County Board will meet at 9:00 this morning.
