ABE Graduation

Mankato (KMKO)-Mankato's Adult Basic Education Program will honor another group of graduates tonight.  The program, which is operated under the Mankato Public School District 77 Community Education, helps those who are age 16 or older and demonstrated a need for basic education below the 12 grade level.  Those who want to study for the G.E.D. exam and people who are a credit or two short of graduation can also take part in the program.  The program also provides English as a Second Language for people from other countries, as well as preparation for citizenship. 115 people have earned their diplomas through the program this year.  Tonight's ceremony at Lincoln Auditorium begins at 7:30.
