North Mankato City Administrator



North Mankato (KMKO)-The process of choosing a new city administrator has begun for North Mankato.  Long-time administrator Wendell Sande has announced his retirement effective May 31st and the city has appointed City Planner Mike Fischer to handle the duties on an interim basis.  The city started accepting applications yesterday.  Starting June 22nd, the city will review the applicants and choose the 12 best qualified.  The personnel committee will then begin interviews and narrow the field to three.  After that, the city council will determine who is the best candidate. Sande has been the North Mankato city administrator for 16 years.
