BLUE EARTH (TEC News) -- One man is dead after a home invasion early this morning in Blue Earth.

The BCA says Blue Earth Police responded to a disturbance call at a home in the 400 block of 4th Street East around 12:30 a.m.

Several people in the residence had been assaulted.

A 38-year-old man is dead, two adult females and one juvenile female were seriously injured.

The injured victims were taken to a local hospital then to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

A six-year-old female in the home was not hurt.

A preliminary investigation revealed a masked man entered the home and attacked his victims with an unknown object. The BCA says investigators are working to identify suspects at this time.

As of mid-morning, no one is in custody.
