MANKATO (TEC News) -- A 23-year-old Willmar woman is in trouble for popping a Mankato cop.
 
Literally.
 
Mankato police say they were called to the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System around 3:41 a.m. Tuesday to help control a woman who was out of control.
 
Commander Amy Vokal says Jennifer Michelle Johnston was yelling, cursing and trying to push her way out of the ER.
 
Vokal says if was when two officers, along with hospital security, tried to control Johnston that she hit one officer over the head with a plastic Mountain Dew bottle.
 
Police are requesting charges of 4th Degree Assault of a Police Officer, Obstruction of the Legal Process With Force, and Disorderly Conduct.
 
Formal charges had not been filed as of mid-afternoon
 
When asked if the officer was hurt, Vokal said "only his pride."
 
Johnston was placed in the Blue Earth County Jail.
 
Vokal couldn't say why Johnston was at the ER. Only that she was a patient.
