MANKATO (TEC News) -- A truck driver from the Twin Cities has been named Minnesota's top truck driver.
Robert Erickson, who drives for MinStar Transport in Eagan, was named last Thursday as the Minnesota Trucking Association (MTA) Driver of the Year at their annual awards banquet.
Erickson was selected from the MTA's twelve Drivers of the Month for 2011.
Four Mankato area truck drivers were up for the award.
Among the nominees were Gary Ingvalson of Jensen Transport (Mankato); Dean Thompson of Jensen Transport (Mankato); Anthony Tipton of Volk Transfer (Mankato) and Daniel Pierson of Bartels Truck Line (Winthrop).
