MANKATO (TEC News) -- The criminal sexual conduct trial of a 37-year-old Vernon Center man is scheduled to start on December 19th in Mankato.
However the attorney for Jeremy Giefer claims the now 18-year-old victim recanted her allegations to Blue Earth County investigators.
Giefer faces 24 counts of assaulting the girl starting when she was 9 years old.
Giefer was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in 1996 of assaulting a 14-year-old girl when he was 19-years-old.
Giefer is free on $350,000 bail as he awaits trial.
